7-12 Life Science

Overview

This training is designed for Science 7-12 teachers as they prepare their students for a 21st century where advanced science content knowledge is essential to success.

All teachers attend the first three training days covering evolution, ecology and genetics.  Each teacher will then select a specific content area for extended learning for training days 4 and 5.

In This Session Teachers:

• Learn key science content in the areas of evolution, ecology, and genetics.
• Learn to plan sequences of instruction to help their students develop increasingly sophisticated thinking related to life science content.
• Assess student understanding to make future instructional decisions.
• Develop a deeper understanding of the science they teach.
