Nature of Science and Engineering Day 3: Nature of Science

Overview
Teachers will explore their views of the Nature of Science and develop an understanding of the central tenets of the Nature of Science. Teachers then will learn to implement lessons that include the tenets of the Nature of Science.
Activity1: Teachers will complete black box activities to explore the central tenets of NOS.
Activity2: Inquiry into Magnets
In this activity, teachers will make observations and record them to investigate how magnets and magnetic objects behave. Teachers will be asked to develop a model to explain their observations. Enough time will be allocated for teachers to develop, test, and revise their models.
