Nature of Science and Engineering Day 4: Scientific Inquiry

Overview
Teachers will explore their conceptions of scientific inquiry and modeling by completing two inquiry activities.
Activity 1:
Activity 2: Wisconsin Fast Plants
Wisconsin Fast Plants activity is a long-term project. Teachers will plant their seeds and for 30-40 days they will record the measurable changes on their plants (e.g., height, leaf color, and number of flowers). Tables, pie charts, and graphs will be made to present the data. Teachers will keep journals to report their observations and data.
